NEC Indicators for Air Pollution Effects on Terrestrial Ecosystems

Environmental Protection Agency has funded a five-year project to investigate indicators of air-pollution effects on ecosystems. This project supports the National Ecosystem Monitoring Network under development by EPA, in partnership with Trent University Ontario, National Parks and Wildlife Service and Forest Service.
“NEC” refers to the National Emission Ceilings Directive, under which the National Ecosystem Monitoring Network will be established.
This project is funded under the EPA Research Programme 2014-2020. The EPA Research Programme is a Government of Ireland initiative funded by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment. It is administered by the Environmental Protection Agency, which has the statutory function of co-ordinating and promoting environmental research.”
